You are on Facebook and see your friends are on a Disney Cruise, having the time of their life. It looks amazing! Then you do some research and your EZ Dis Agent gives you the price tag… you are no longer sure if it is amazing. You wonder: is it really worth it? I’m here to tell you that it absolutely is! Here’s why:
1. The Entertainment
The Walt Disney Theatre hosts Broadway-caliber shows and other entertainment nightly during your sailing. In fact, their new Beauty and the Beast stage show was reimagined for the cruise line and was the first show at sea to receive a Brass Ring Award – a sign of true excellence in the service industry. In addition to Broadway, shows entertainment some nights may include magicians, illusionists, comedians, dancers and more!
2. The Staterooms
These staterooms are designed specifically with diverse family dynamics in mind. They have maximized functionality and storage space in staterooms of all categories, and over 90% of the rooms feature a split bath so that there are two sinks and two mirrors – perfect when everyone is trying to get ready for an exciting adventure at sea. Balconies are extremely spacious and if you opt for an indoor room, their virtual portholes on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy give you a digital view to the outside with a little extra pixie dust sprinkled throughout the day. Not sure which room or what location is perfect for your family? No problem, the EZ Dis team of agents have sailed many times on all of the ships and will help you select the best room for you – whether it’s near the nursery, close to the movie theater or by the beverage station, we’ve got you covered.
3. The Private Island
Have you Googled Disney’s Castaway Cay? No? Go do it. Then come back! Gorgeous right? They’ve got a family beach, an adult beach, a water slide out in the ocean, two lunch buffets, flotation rentals, snorkeling out to a sunken Mickey statue, hermit crab racing, bicycling and if you’re feeling ambitious, even a 5K that you can run on the island in the morning. There’s something for everyone in the family and you’ll be dying to go back time and time again! (Castaway Cay is included in all Caribbean and Bahamian sailings). Bonus, Disney even has a dock right on their island for easy off and on the ship – no tender rides here!
4. Did We Mention The Entertainment?!
Whether it’s the Pirates in the Caribbean Night on Caribbean and Bahamian sailings or the Freezing the Night Away Deck Party in the cooler locations, the themed dinner, music and dancing on deck, and even fireworks are sure to be a highlight you won’t forget. You read that right – fireworks! Disney is the only cruise line authorized to set them off at sea so it’s an experience you literally can’t get anywhere else! (Fireworks may be restricted due to local laws such as in Alaska)
5. The Dining
Rotational dining means that your dinner servers will move with you night after night as you experience Disney’s finest restaurants at sea. Each one has a unique theme and menu, so you’re always in for something new! During the day, the restaurants are open for breakfast and lunch, in addition to what might be the largest buffet you’ve ever seen and plenty of meal options out on the pool deck. It’s also amazing that the non-alcoholic beverages are free, yes free, in the dining rooms and at the 24-hour beverage station. No big soda bill when you are getting off the ship. Allergies or dietary restrictions? No problem! The Disney service you know and expect is amazing at accommodating these needs – read more about that here! Looking for something a little more up scale? Palo (on all ships) and Remy (on the Dream and Fantasy) are adult only dining rooms that you can reserve for a small fee. They serve dinner nightly and the most incredible brunch on sea days. Ask your EZ Dis Agent how you can get a reservation here because they certainly go quick!
6. The Kid’s Clubs
You’re going to have to beg them to leave! These immersive clubs have programming and activities from early in the morning to late at night. Small World Nursery accommodates the youngest of cruisers, The Oceaneer Lab and Oceaneer Club are extraordinary places to be a kid for a day, and Vibe gives your teens a place to hang out and make friends on board. There’s even the 1820 Society, where your big kids can go to meet other young-adult travelers. From character visits to art projects, science experiments, games, sports and more they will be in heaven!
7. The Adult Time
I know what you’re thinking: you drop the kids off and that’s great, but what is there for you to do now? Well let me tell you! All of Disney’s ships have an adult’s only area with an outdoor pool, hot tub, lounge chairs, and a bar. The Cove provides free snacks throughout the day, as well as additional food and beverages available for purchase. Check out the video of this incredible hot chocolate ball we enjoyed. Over half a dozen beverage tastings and classes provide an array of knowledge on the drinks of your choice. The Senses Spa is internationally recognized for their exceptional treatments and service – it also contains a fitness center and our favorite spot, The Rainforest Room, for a wonderfully relaxing trip. Not enough choices yet…there are cooking demonstrations, art tours and more! The District Lounge is a series of nightclubs that keep that party going all night long. I could go on and on but you get the idea, right? It’s not just for the kids!
8. The Memories
We always say, “the greatest souvenir I ever bought, was the memories I made with my familyTM”. Now is the time, the kids will only be this age once. Relax, renew and enjoy each other. Maybe you play mini golf (yes, it’s include free), try out the Midship Detective Agency – a digital scavenger hunt – take an animation class together, ride the Aqua Duck or participate in a Family Game Show. There’s so much to do on board that’s all included! Create memories of a lifetime. There is no price tag on those smiles.
9. The Shipboard Credit
When you book with an EZ Dis Agent, the price is the exact same as booking with DCL directly except… you get a little bonus! All cruise bookings come with a shipboard credit from our agency that you can apply towards souvenirs, those special dining experiences we mentioned, a well-earned spa treatment, excursions, photo prints, shopping and more; if you can charge it to your stateroom, you can apply our shipboard credit to it!

I went when I was a kid with our whole family. Now, we’re hoping to plan another for our own kids within 5 years. Absolutely one of the best experiences I’ve had! Everything from the cruise ship activities to the excursions were just incredible!
EZ Dis says
That’s awesome Patty! One tip we like to give people is Disney typically books 18-23 months out and the earlier you book, typically the better the rate. Early bookings have 100% refund options for a long time. Think about joining our mailing list for notifications of new sailing dates.
