Although all vacation packages stay true to the Disney brand, not all packages allow guests under 18. There are adults-only vacations available for those who prefer not to experience the family vacation elements of a Disney trip.
What is the minimum age for travelers with Adventures by Disney?
While Adventures By Disney is family-friendly like other Disney vacation experiences, the Minimum age suitable for an Adventures by Disney booking is four and up for most itineraries (while some are six and up). Please note that within some itineraries the minimum age for select activities may be higher. The itineraries on most vacation plans include plenty of fun activities for children. However, there are some Adventures by Disney getaways that are for adults only and guests must be 18 to participate.
What is a Junior Adventurer?
Junior Adventurers is the special name given to the younger travelers or those who want to be young at heart! There is no age limit for participating with the Junior Adventures. Juniors often receive a special guide book with fun activities unique to the location. They can also enjoy a special Disney movie night tied into the destination they are visiting. At various points in the tour, the group may split up and there is a Junior Adventurer option that is more interactive and engaging than the regular tour activity. While it is targeted towards the younger adventurers, kids may always join the “adult” option and adults are always welcome to join in.
On which rivers has Adventures by Disney teamed up with AmaWaterways?
Disney has teamed up with AmaWaterways to offer exciting river cruises that make excellent 8-10 day trips. The river cruises offered are Seine, Rhone, Rhine, and Danube. You can even take a Rhine River Food and Wine theme sailing or an Octoberfest sailing on the Danube. Another favorite is the Christmas Danube cruise for the holiday season with stops in Germany, Slovakia, and Hungry.

What is a Disney adventure guide?
When you book an Adventures by Disney vacation, your trip includes two professional Disney trained guides. They will handle all travel logistics and manage your day to day itinerary. They are your concierge, fairy godmother and new friend. Disney Adventure Guides are knowledgeable storytellers, who bring adventure and authenticity to your cultural experiences. Typically one of your guides is native of the Country you are touring. In addition, you will get to meet incredible “step up on guides” with expertise in a single city.
What do Adventures by Disney include?
Once you begin your adventure Adventure Disney handles all the details. Your food and hotel stays are all included. Disney also provides VIP treatment, such as backstage tours and access to exclusive events. You will have admissions tickets to all the local activities and attractions as well. Plus, each adventure is accompanied by two Disney guides who take all the hassle out of your travel arrangements.
What is not included in your Adventures by Disney package?
Adventures by Disney vacations are very inclusive once you arrive at your vacation starting point. However, Disney does not include airfare as part of any Adventures by Disney package. Based on your itinerary, you will find some “on your own time” which may include purchasing a meal or snacks on your own. Lastly, Adventure Guide gratuities are not included. These are suggested at $8-11 per person, per guide, per day. We personally have felt everyone one of our guides were worth their weight in gold and $11 a day, was a steal!
