Disneyland and social media have been good friends for a long time. Whenever Disney rolls out new treats, they are so colorful and vibrant; you cannot take an Instagram photo before you chow down. At Walt Disney World, Instagram Walls became a huge sensation, all because of one purple wall. What a lot of people don’t realize is that Disneyland has Instagram walls too. Some of them predate Instagram. They’ve been trending on social media below the radar before Instagram Walls were a known thing. When Instagram released a list of the most Instagrammed places in the world, four Disney Parks made a list. Disneyland was number one. The Happily Ever After Wall
Very likely, the first-ever Instagram Wall, The Happily Ever After Wall became a very popular spot for couples to announce engagements or posts from their honeymoon. The wall hides inside at the exit of the Animation building in Disney’s California Adventure. It’s hard not to get swept up in the romance of the 360-degree projections and emotionally driven music in the Animation Courtyard.
The Small World Wall
It makes sense that one of the most popular Disneyland backdrops is associated with one of the most photographed locations in Disneyland. This wall portrays the textural design of the famous and unique facade of It’s a Small World. The patterns and colors of this wall are so instantly recognizable that Disney fans flock to this spot and form lines just to get their shot in.
Captain America Wall
Things are always changing at the resort, especially in the Hollywoodland Backlot in Disney’s California Adventure. There are Instagram walls at Disneyland everywhere you turn and many of these only last a limited period of time. Just a short while ago, there was a Buzz Lightyear wall, with later gave way to this Captain America backdrop. Who knows what will be there tomorrow?
The Blue Wall
Speaking of the Hollywood Studios Backlot, you don’t have to go far from the Buzz Lightyear Wall to find an oldie but a goodie. The Blue Wall predates the #purplewall, but it has not achieved the same level of notoriety. Still, this distinct shade of blue makes the backdrop of one of the most outstanding Instagram Wells at Disneyland.
The Test Wall
There is a legendary and mysterious wall that is quickly gaining attention at Disneyland. It’s been around since before opening day. Find it in an isolated corner of Main Street USA near the lockers. According to Disney legend, the Test Wall was used to test different types of bricks and patterns to be used in the park. The wall was quickly put in place as construction workers moved to complete the park by opening day hastily. It’s a fun piece of history and a fascinating wall.
