There are so many things to see and do at Walt Disney World. For those lucky enough to travel to the parks often a special event can be the perfect addition to your trip. Check out these amazing options.
H2O Glow Nights
This one is extra unique and totally cool. What better way to spend a warm summer night than at a massive glow in the dark pool party. This Toy Story themed party in Typhoon Lagoon is hosted by Rex. The Toy Story Pals are there to join in the fun and all of the Typhoon Lagoon attractions are open during this after hours event. There is plenty of limited edition food to try and even an adults only area with a bar. It’s the most affordable of all Disney World special events by far, with adult tickets as low as $59 and kids tickets for $54. In 2019, this occurs Thursdays and Saturdays, June to August
After Hours Magic Kingdom
This After Hours is a classic. The Magic Kingdom closes down for this special event, so a relatively small number of guests can come into play for a few magical hours. This is the original Walt Disney World park and it’s still the most magical. There is something about experiencing this classic park after hours with limited attendance. You get to walk right onto the rides and have your run of the entire park if you want. As typical with most Disney After Hours events, your ticket covers unlimited popcorn, ice cream and select beverages. The tickets for this event start at $125 for all ages. This is scheduled typically on a Thursday night and available 3-5 months prior to travel.
New Disney Villains After Hours
For an amazing twist on the traditional Disney After Hours party, the villains come out to play at these summer Disney World special events. Unlike the Halloween party, this event is more shifted toward adults and there is not different pricing for kids. The event features Maleficent as a fire breathing dragon prowling around and a whole new live show featuring some of the most dastardly characters in the Disney rogues gallery. The price of these tickets start at $139. This is typically one night a week in summer months
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party
This extra special trick or treat party is fabulous for kids. The after hours event includes rare and popular character meet and greets, dance parties, special and unique treats and snacks, an exclusive parade, a night time show, and more. Come dressed in a costume to join in the festivities! Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is up to it’s ears in fun! Tickets start as low as $79 for adults and $74 for kids. Halloween parties are traditionally 2 or 3 nights a week from late August until Halloween.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
Just like Mickey’s Not So Scary, but cheerier, this Christmas party offers essentially the same format and offerings with a bright and merry Christmas theme. Although, there is no trick or treating at this event, there is generally a more exciting vibe, with more entertainment to enjoy. Plus, you get to experience “snow” on Main Street. 2019 will see an all new fireworks spectacular! Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party starts at $99 and $94 for adults and kids respectively. Parties are 2-3 nights a week in November (not Thanksgiving weekend) until just a few days before Christmas.
Ask your EZ Dis Travel Concierge for assistance with purchasing the tickets as well as strategies for park planning around these events. There is nothing better than a knowledgeable travel professional working for you at no extra cost (they are commissioned by Disney)
