The Disney Dining Plan is an excellent opportunity to go wild on your dining experience at Walt Disney World. Since meals are reduced to credits, you pay the same at some signature dining restaurants— such as Wolfgang Puck’s or Morimoto Asia— as you do at a table service restaurant that is typically less expensive. However, you only have so many table service credits and many of the top foodie choices charge two. To maximize your value on the Disney Dining Plan, seek out the best one credit table service restaurants. Then, target the priciest entrees. Here are 5 of the best value one credit table service meals you can get at Walt Disney World, though it was hard to narrow it down. We may be back with more recommendations soon.
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall

It’s hard to believe this incredibly themed character meal at Epcot is only one meal credit. This character restaurant serves three meals a day. However, dinner will give you the best bang for your buck. You will find a few Character dining experiences for only one credit. Since they are typically all you can eat buffets and family style, they tend to be the best value in terms of quantity. What makes Akershus special, is that it’s very similar to the experience you have at Cinderella’s Royal Table, without the premium charge for dining inside the Magic Kingdom castle. All entrees cost the same, so the best value is more determined by personal taste. The Viking Mixed Grill foes provide the most variety, however.
Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’

In Disney Springs, you will find a lot of terrific dining options. One of the best is Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ and it’s only one table service credit to dine there. There are a couple of expensive entrees to choose from here, but the Grilled Mahi and Shrimp is incredible. If you prefer not to eat seafood, you could always order the Braised Short Ribs. Since dessert is included, make sure you order the famous Hummingbird Cake. Chef Art Smith is one of 8 James Beard Awarding Winning chefs in Disney Springs!
Hollywood and Vine

This character buffet is unique in that it has different characters at Breakfast than it does at lunch and dinner. Breakfast is your opportunity to meet all your Disney Junior friends including Fancy Nancy, Doc McStuffins, Sofia the First and more! Lunch and Dinner bring the most popular characters with a twist. Meet Mickey, Minnie and friends dressed for the season! This is a great opportunity to catch an old friend with a unique outfit. Did you know Mickey’s wardrobe is over 175 outfits and Minnie has well over 200? Either way, be sure to book the Fantasmic! Dining Package. With the meal plan there is no extra cost for this and you get reserved seating at the evening show. It’s like a fastpass bonus!
Boma

Another buffet that provides more value among one credit table service meals is Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. The Dining at Animal Kingdom is among the best on Disney property. Since the buffet is all you can eat and it provides a sampling of all kinds of food available at the lodge it is a really great value, especially if you happen to be staying here. Even if not, it is worth going out of your way to use a table service credit here. The offerings are both accessible and on the more exotic side and you don’t have to worry about being adventurous, because you can take as little or as much as you want. This is also the home of the famed “Zebra Dome” dessert. Check it out to see what all the talk is about.
Storybook Dining at Artist Point

This is one of the newest character experiences at Walt Disney World, and for the time being it is only one credit table service at Artist Point. This reimagined signature restaurant at Wilderness Lodge pulled out all the stops. It has beautiful decor, Snow White, Dopey and the Evil Queen, and an inspired menu based on the Snow White theme. Here you can have your choice of entree included in the price with each rustic dish provides a unique variety of flavor to enjoy. Be sure to go hungry as you will leave stuffed with three tasting portion appetizers per person, a main course with side and four tasting portion desserts! Remember, we highly recommend advanced dining reservations for all sit down restaurants at Disney property to avoid disappointment. Typically, they don’t take walk up guests, or will offer you dinner if you come back at 9:30pm! Dining opens 180 days in advance and your travel concierge not only will make additional restaurant reservations for you but they will make your reservations for you the minute the system unlocks for your date! These are definitely some great places, the hardiest thing about Disney planning is narrow down all the amazing restaurant choices!
